What happens when Squeezie, France’s top YouTuber, gives carte blanche to Anthony Authié, founder of Zyva Studio, to redesign his streaming studio? A retrofuturistic urban chalet emerges.

When Lucas Hauchard (aka Squeezie) enlisted Anthony, he gave him a challenge: to bring warmth back to the underground space. « I reimagined the space as if its exterior environment belonged to a different geographical context, a cold, extreme, snowy place. Lucas had in mind to use wood, and being a fan of monochromatic or monomaterial spaces, I immediately thought of high-mountain chalets, where you feel like you’re in a cocoon, » explains the interior designer.

He combines this extremely raw wood essence with a vibrant pop orange and comforting, enveloping furniture. « For the furniture, I wanted something round and generous, like a good old pair of Moon Boots, » he says. Examples? Up-lift seats from prostoria draped in Kvadrat x Raf Simons fabric, orange shelves by the Bouroullec brothers for Vitra, a Septem stool by Axel Chay, a Pion from the OHM studio, Ball-foot chairs from Panorammma studio, a Louis Lefebvre wool and leather Labyrinth rug… These sculptural pieces compete for attention with the figurines from Squeezie’s ArtToys collection, sacred in every corner of the studio. Is that good for you?
