Shaker System by Raf Simons & Kvadrat

Raf Simons started a second edition of his Shaker system for Kvadrat. Still based on the concept of a powder-coated aluminium wall bar on which to hang all the pieces in the collection, it celebrates utility, functionality and materiality, and lays the foundations for a new art of living.

The series, which included items for the living room and hallway, is enriched with accessories for the bathroom. Elegant slippers, versatile pouches, perfect toiletry bags. The new family of accessories comes in a palette of four signature colours – off-white, pink, green and black – and is dressed in haute couture materials such as terry cotton, wavy cashmere and Vidar 4‘s signature looped fabric. It is the latter that covers the Shaker Bar with a softly textured finish, taking inspiration from the upholstered furniture of French decorator and designer Jacques Adnet.
