NoMad House
Australian design studios have a knack for composing interiors that are both spare and sophisticated, blending soft tones with rich materiality. Alexander & Co is one of them. The firm, founded in 2013 by Jeremy Bull, has a string of exceptional projects in Australia. Like NoMad House, a former industrial building transformed into a gallery-like flat.
Located in Sydney’s Surry Hills, this faded private residence has been designed as an urban sanctuary to wander and stroll through stories of materials, furniture and art. Bathed in light from the large windows: the crème de la crème of design, including a Puffy armchair by Faye Toogood for Hem, the Cocoon table lamp by the Castiglioni brothers for Flos and a Flag Halyard Chair by Hans Wegner. Works by contemporary artists and designers such as Hugh McCarthy, Marc Barold and Tom Fereday are also on display. Visit.
