Citrons et Huîtres Paris

Citrons et Huîtres, a new iodine-filled bar, has just opened its doors at 57 boulevard de Rochechouart in the Pigalle district of Paris. The bar’s decor is by Marion Mailaender, the interior designer behind the Rosalie hotel in Paris and Tuba in Marseille.

Immersed in this oxidised universe, this oyster bar is reminiscent of the old fishmonger’s shop fronts in the neighbourhood, or the market halls. With its zinc shucker’s counter, its coral red stools and its door handle in the shape of a mollusc, the décor of Citrons et Huîtres plunges visitors into the bowels of the Mediterranean sea.

At aperitif time and until late in the evening, one can taste at the counter or leave with oysters from the Gulf of Morbihan, clams and belons always accompanied by a homemade mayonnaise, a lemon from the market or an apple vinaigrette. The new must for all lovers of iodine specialities.
