Retro Future

When Stamuli’s Tagadá mirror displays colorblocks inspired by the creations of post-modernist designers, Argot Studio’s 1600 chair is inspired by the Alpine ski resort Les Arcs imagined by Charlotte Perriand in the 1970s, and Uma’s T4 armchair pays homage to the impetuous settings of the 1990s… More than ever, designers are mixing their contemporary codes with the trends of the past to plunge aesthetics into the future.

The materials are not left out. Yesterday’s leading materials (fibreglass, laminate, ceramics) are mixed with new generation materials such as polylactic acid derived from corn starch and tomorrow’s techniques such as 3D printing. Back to the (retro)future.
