Jacquemus objects
Simon Porte Jacquemus is a fashion designer, retailer and interior designer. In 2021, he launched a collection of egg cups and Christmas ornaments in blown glass. Then, at the end of 2022, he opened his first physical shop on Avenue Montaigne with a suave scenography inspired by his « Paper » collection. Today, he is launching his first series of objects and furniture for the home, designed to continue his line based on raffia.
Jacquemus’ Objects could only be couture. The picnic essentials (plates, bowls, plate holders, strawberry trays, trays, small vases) are available in leather, raw or dyed, with contrasting stitching that recalls his passion for fashion.
It is above all his deep love for the South that is evident in the Objets collection. Influenced by the mythical settings of Jacques Deray’s film « La piscine », he reinvents an iconic Italian design: the Locus Solus set. In collaboration with the publisher EXTETA, he reworks the outdoor pieces designed in 1964 by Gae Aulenti with a sunny fabric with parasol stripes.
Alongside this exclusive re-edition, Jacquemus offers a selection of original prints by photographer Lucien Clergue and vintage books selected by the designer himself as a tribute to his favourite artists, including David Hockney, Pablo Picasso, René Burri and Luis Barragán.
