MILAN DESIGN WEEK • After Monaco, Paris, Hong Kong, Mexico City, Mykonos, Dubai, Malta and Saint-Tropez, Beefbar is moving to Milan. Not just anywhere, as the exceptional steakhouse chain is taking up residence in the heart of Portrait Milano, a five-star hotel owned by the Ferragamo family. Located in the trendy Quadrilatero district, in the prestigious piazza where a former archiepiscopal seminary once stood, it is reviving a place that is full of soul over 500 years later.

As since its inception in 2005, the Monte-Carlo-based concept uses the Monegasque studio Humbert & Poyet for the interior design. Like its Parisian counterpart, the Milanese address unveils a real architectural gem inspired by the history of the place. If Beefbar Paris paid homage to the Art Deco years, Beefbar Milano celebrates the hushed atmosphere of the Milanese cafés of the 1940s and 1960s.

On the kitchen side, a cosmopolitan menu based on top-of-the-range meats meets Italian specialists: homemade wagyu and veal bolognese with fresh pappardelle, osso bucco risotto with lemon and yuzu, exclusive Kobe beef bresaola, veal escalopes with yuzu and lime, to name but a few.
