Michel Ducaroy comes from a family of industrial designers of contemporary furniture, and trained at the École des Beaux-Arts de Lyon, Michel Ducaroy had all the cards in hand to mark the history of design. Promises must be delivered. In 1973, the sofa, until then fixed and conventional, changed silhouette to marry the shapes of the human body under the hands of the designer with his iconic Togo.

Crumpled, slumped, and designed close to the ground, the seat-cushion imagined for Ligne Roset became the symbol of a « wallowing » and relaxed generation. 47 years on, the charm still works and Togo embodies unequalled comfort and pleasure.
