Soho House Stockholm
Setting up the latest trendy addresses in converted churches is definitely in the air! Soho House won’t argue with that. The London-based group has just set up its latest private club in the Swedish capital, in the heart of the lively Östermalm district. More precisely, within the walls of a former Methodist church with vaulted ceilings.
There, the turntables have replaced the organ (at least on opening night). In total, 1,430 square metres and three historically informed spaces where you can eat, drink, meet, relax or be inspired are available to members of Soho House Stockholm: the Club, Cecconi’s Restaurant and the Library.
In each of them, the colour palette reflects the melancholic tones of Stockholm and warmly extends the shades of the old stained glass windows of the church. The furniture, fabrics, vintage lighting and artworks have been sourced exclusively from Swedish and Scandinavian artists, designers and brands.
