The Château Voltaire in Paris
You don't have to go all the way to Versailles to experience life in a château. Located in the heart of Paris, between the Tuileries Gardens, the Garnier Opera and the Louvre, Château Voltaire (a hotel signed by Zadig & Voltaire) offers visitors to the capital a multi-faceted aesthetic, both historical and romantic, where genres and eras mingle like in the golden age of Hollywood. Once through the doors, one wanders through the corridors, rooms and Emil's restaurant as if through a slightly fanciful history book. According to legend, you may even come across the ghost of actress Sarah Bernhardt...

The Château de Gudanes in Château-Verdun
Perched above the picturesque village of Château-Verdun, itself tucked away in the Aston Valley in the French Pyrenees, the Château de Gudanes continues to stand the test of time. First a fortress in the 13th century, then a castle in the 15th century, then a palace in the 18th century before being abandoned, the building has risen from its ashes in a clever mix of precious and dilapidated. Proof of the passage of time...

The Hôtel de Tingry in Ménerbes
In the Luberon, perched above Ménerbes, an 18th century private mansion classified as a historical monument - and placed under the leadership of Pierres d'Histoires - ensures that its village remains in the top 3 most beautiful in France (according to Stéphane Bern). Secret of history: from 1781 to 1789, the residence became the asylum of the Count of Rantzau, captain of the King of Denmark who plotted against Queen Caroline Mathilde. His tomb is located in the garden of the Citadel.
