HOTEL • The Touriste group can pride itself on owning some of the most beautiful little hotel jewels in Paris: the Panache (Dorothée Meilichzon) in the 9th arrondissement, Les deux Gares (Luke Edward Hall) in the 10th arrondissement, and soon La Boétie (Beata Heuman) in the 8th arrondissement and the Château d’eau (Necchi Architecture) in the 10th arrondissement. Today, the spotlight is on the latest addition: the Beauregard Hotel, designed by Chloé Nègre.

It is at the crossroads of the rue de Vaugirard and the rue de Cambronne, in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, that the architect-designer does it again for Touriste. As with the Bienvenue hotel, she combines influences and instils her retro bourgeois codes enhanced by seventies nods. « I imagined the hotel I would dream of if I were a tourist travelling to Paris, » she confides.

Throughout the six floors, she has revived traditional references (tapestries from the PINTON factory, a fresco by the artist Pauline Leyravaud, a Mario Botta chair, an undulating bench in the style of Pierre Paulin) through a bold choice of shapes, materials and colours. A reinvented Parisian cliché.
