A new season means a new programme! From Paris to Marseille, via Saint-Paule de Vence, the exhibitions and retrospectives of spring will make creation vibrate.

The proposals are as eclectic as the temperatures: the denim is declined in all its forms on Harry Nuriev’s furniture at the Carpenters Workshop Gallery, the Southway Pavilion plunges into a mystical and phantasmagorical atmosphere under the direction of Léa Porré, the Bourbon Palace of the National Assembly is annexed by the free and fanciful drawings of Alexandre Benjamin Navet… An overview of the 7 exhibitions to be discovered this spring.

The Franco-Belgian artist Léa Porré deploys a hybrid universe, between gothic revival and Egyptomania at the Pavillon Southway, an art house in Marseille. Conceived like a video game, the Arcana Arcorum exhibition brings together wallpapers and pseudo-baroque artefacts and takes the viewer into a temporal, uchronic and vaporous portal.

The Russian designer Harry Nuriev, in collaboration with Aurélie Julien Collectible, reinvents denim on the ground floor of the Carpenters Workshop Gallery in Paris. A dressing table, a DJ table, a storage chest, a work desk, a bed, a mirror, an alter, a cushion... The furniture and everyday spaces, all dressed in denim, explore and question the links between art, design and fashion.

Caro Alessandro exhibition at Galerie kreo

An emblematic figure of 20th century design, Alessandro Mendini is the subject of a retrospective at Galerie kreo. Celebrating their 20 years of collaboration, the exhibition pays homage to the Italian design mastro through twenty or so iconic works, including the Kandissi sofa, the Poltrona di Proust, Bronzo, Cleome Elegans, as well as original creations created for the gallery, such as the Lampada, the Poltrona white gold... It is around this last piece that dancer and choreographer Brandon Miel Masele offers a performance in a film created for the occasion.

After Iris, the second part of Marie & Alexandre's cycle of exhibitions on ceramics at the Signé gallery, it is time for Végétasia. In collaboration with the botanist Marc Jeanson, the duo explores the theme of vulnerability and reinvents the horticultural greenhouse through a device combining plant species and hand-blown glass creations. On two scales, human and microscopic, the scenography highlights the defence mechanisms of the plant world in relation to its climatic or material environment, to compensate for its apparent fragility.

Exhibition "Andrée Putman and the Modern Movement" at the CAB Foundation

On the occasion of the Hors les murs programme at the Villa Noailles, the CAB Foundation in Saint-Paul de Vence is devoting an exhibition to Andrée Putman, the great designer and interior architect of the Modern Movement, who helped to have the Villa Noailles included in the supplementary inventory of 20th century historic monuments. In a scenography imagined by her daughter Olivia, timeless pieces and best-sellers from the 1980s created by the pioneering artists of that era, which the "Grande Dame of Design" propelled to the forefront, will be on display.
