A creamy white, pure and delicate is here to stay. Round lines on furniture and objects are softened to complete this monastic atmosphere.
A trend spotted in the 3404 residence designed by frenchCALIFORNIA, and also on pieces by AGNST Design, Brigitte de Bazelaire, Argot Studio or Bureau Benjamin.
Classicism is a classic! This year, it is renewed and being brought into the home with optimism thanks to the bold reinterpretations of up-to-the-minute editors and designers.
Invented over 2000 years ago, glassblowing is undergoing a major creative revival. Glass artists such as Alissa Volchkova and Helle Mardahl are sublimating glass through softened shades and blown, distorted and wavy forms that bear witness to the work of the material and renew the genre.
While dusting off the old by mixing it with contemporary codes is a major trend, Aubusson tapestry is making its way into decoration. Yesterday reserved for castles, the large narrative hangings are now creating rich decors in the home and interiors.
In 2023, a whirlwind of rainbow colours will appear on wallpapers and carpets in the home, but also on sculptural objects. A return to childhood that is resolutely joyful.
The « cabinet de curiosités » inspiration is more relevant than ever. Carefully enshrined in niches and corners of rooms, trinkets and rare objects are displayed like works of art.
A real collector’s showcase is made up of shells and other marine treasures gathered from the beach, 19th century ceramics found at flea markets… A purely contemplative trend.
Stamuli’s Tagadá collection, Hanna Anonen’s Plizé boxes, OHM studio’s Pion stools: what do these quirky objects and furniture pieces have in common? They question rationalism with a playful twist.
The walls offer a beautiful escape. As lively and exotic as ever, the panoramic will make its comeback in 2023.
As a tribute to the sculptures of Constantin Brâncuși and the totems of Ettore Sottsass, wood is displayed in a hyper-architectural version on the seats and lighting.
As craftsmanship regains its nobility, the material is finely worked and sculpted at CORS, Beldy, Heaps & Woods and Maison Henry Jacques.
Textiles are displayed on the walls. The motif, at the centre of the work, is liberated by weaving, particularly patchwork, knitting, tufting or embroidery.
The precursors of this trend? The Crafties, Manon Daviet, Louis Barthélemy, Pangea, AMCA OVAL… All of them showcase textile creations at the frontier of art, craft and design.
