By Violaine Belle-Croix, editor-in-chief Marie Claire Enfants and founder of Fair.e

Cultural and chronological clashes, unusual and colorful aesthetics… On the eve of the crazy week of the Salone del Mobile in Milan, Violaine Belle-Croix, editor-in-chief Marie Claire Enfants and founder of the Fair.e creative agency, shares her vision of the new baroque! In a cult of expressivity and singularity, looks and styles advocate anti-smoothness: a great Mezze to muddy the waters and dramatise everyday life. A mix of eras and influences, bubbling with color and audacity!

Ambassadors of this style? Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran – the tandem of Dimore Studio – the unclassifiable and iconoclastic interior designers. Each one of their decorations amazes by its virtuosity and originality. Chinese-inspired suspension lamps and tubular apricot furniture blend in a blue decor surrounded by black without fault or oddity.

Deep blues, marked oranges, assumed blacks, the colors set the scene whether it is the mythical Villa Cavrois imagined by the architect Mallet Stevens or the Miu Miu fashion shows like Castelbajac Paris.

Dare a colourful bag instead of settling for black and noticing that colour goes with everything. Zoobeetle’s funtastic bag will be the perfect illustration of this: green, yellow, pink, red and camel, it refuses nothing.
