Loewe Weaves

LOEWE is once again forging strong links with contemporary craftsmanship through LOEWE Weaves, a collection of vases of a different kind created in collaboration with the art house Sotheby’s.

J.W. Anderson, Artistic Director of the Spanish house, has called on master potter Antonio Pereira and international artists ARKO, Min Chen and Laia Arqueros to explore the art of weaving. The narrative takes shape on a traditional handmade clay pot with exposed holes that echo the roasting of Galician chestnuts, which the artists turn around with extravagance and derision.

Ribbons, leather strips, wool threads, straw and feathers recovered from the company’s archives reinvent the object.
