Bella Freud apartment
A three hand concerto. Fashion designer Bella Freud, co-founder of the Retrouvius studio, Maria Speake, and the architecture firm Piercy & Company have designed an ultra-retro arty flat in West London.
Three designers, two floors and a leap in time. This penthouse of more than 600m2 nicknamed Helios 710 seems to be straight out of the 70s. Bathed in sunlight emanating from its huge windows, it features vintage furniture including wonderful pieces such as a wooden armchair by Paolo Buffa. Carefully selected contemporary pieces harmoniously blend in. Ceramics by Eliza Hopewell, custom-made hangings by The Rug Company, photographs by Lorena Lohr. Leather, pearls, suede, corduroy, rattan. An eclectic and wildly rock’n’roll mix.
