Avec l’impulsion des italiens Sottsass et De Lucchi, le courant Memphis largement mis à l’honneur en 2015 n’en finit pas d’inspirer et se réinvente dans un registre plus décorateur, chic et maîtrisé : les couleurs candy se font plus pop et les motifs cartoon s’assagissent en graphismes stylisés. L’esprit 80’s, créatif et exubérant, traverse ainsi le temps et on ne sait plus qui, de Nathalie du Pasquier ou David Bowie, en est le digne représentant.
