While creators have long embraced the lexicon of African explorers, recently they’ve been modernizing its timeless essence through bolder codes in interior architecture. Futuristic stores inspired by vernacular architecture, the fusion of animal motifs with retro-contemporary aesthetics, cutting-edge Namibian and Mozambican lodges, the safari lexicon blends with more contemporary themes, giving rise to a primitive/modernist style.

In terms of furniture, beyond the safari chair, the « moving with elegance » spirit introduced by Hermès in the 1980s gains momentum in the designers’ repertoire and manifests in the practical lines of a highly advanced, foldable design. These creations are very much in tune with the digital nomadism era.
