Buoyed by a gentle nostalgia, adults are returning to the ingenuity of objects and symbols from yesteryear to reconnect with their childlike souls. Cuddly toys, vintage mechanical toys, fairy-tale creatures, enchanted fairy-tale wonders, cartoon icons… so many symbols that reappear with innocence. While Hermès has for some time entrusted its campaigns and collections to contemporary illustrators such as Simon Bailly and Ugo Gattoni, Loewe, Fendi and Outsider Division have recently unveiled collections studded with tenderly regressive drawings. In interior design, the dreamlike world of childhood is poetically asserted. Beatrix Potter’s sheep (Pierre Lapin) adorn the walls of young and old alike, and the wallpapers in the latest collection from Little Greene with the National Trust charity. An imaginary world where naivety and wonder take center stage.

Little Greene’s Storybook Papers, a bridge between the ages
Colorful elephants, ostriches and penguins frolic in the eccentric “Animal Kingdom”, geese, ducks and chicks frolic in “Riverside Capers”, mechanical toys bustle about picking apples in “Rodney Street”. Fifth collection of wallpapers by Little Greene with nature conservation charity the National Trust, ” Storybook Papers “ plunges young and old alike into the carefree innocence of childhood.
Employing a variety of printing techniques, from traditional engraved rollers to state-of-the-art digital machines, “Storybook Paper” reveals a flocked pattern in Nip & Lassie wallpaper. Tactile, this pattern brings to life the Herdwick flock of sheep, a nod to British children’s illustrator Beatrix Potter’s fondness for them.
