A Londres ou à Lagos, les silhouettes nonchalantes se confondent, mixant des références urbaines et des touches ethniques. D’un coté le British dandy emprunte le pantalon court et la taille haute, la veste de globetrotteur, les couleurs vives et imprimés forts. De l’autre le Black Dandy mélange savamment les codes du luxe et la culture africaine à l’heure où la sapologie revient en force. Entre Boy scouts et Baroudeurs, ils sont beaux, jeunes, élégants et les défiles leur rendent hommage. De Paul Smith, Dries van Noten à Vlisco, ce clash des cultures donne à mixer tartan et wax, imprimés géométriques et floraux, couleurs chaudes et pop, coupes british et références ethniques.
